JAFA is a peer reviewed open access journal that purposes to develop interdisciplinary theoretical models as applied to anthropological studies on Asian aesthetic discipline to understing it’s broadest meaning, as a means to transcend traditional subject boundaries and to integrate regional, national, international and global perspectives; and finally, to also bridge the gaps between art and human life, between high brow culture and popular culture, and between aesthetics and politics.

JAFA will advance our understanding of aesthetics and fine arts implicated in processes of change. It aims to interrogate how people engage diverse media in creative practices that intervene in their own and others’ lives, the internationalities though which they do this, and the processes and experiences such activities involve.
