    Professor W.S. Karunathilaka Memorial Gold Medal" for the best performance at the Bachelor of Arts (Hon) Degree Examination in German in 2014.

  • Prizes
    First runner up at the poetry reading competition “Le voyage intérieur” held at the Goethe-Institute (German Cultural Institute) to celebrate 50 years of Franco-German Friendship with an evening of poetry by the Nobel Prize Winner Herman Hesse organized jointly by the Alliance Francaise and Goethe-Institute in collaboration with the University of Kelaniya in 2013

  • Scholarships
    1st March 2019 - awarded a scholarship from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) to participate in a workshop on online teaching in the Jawaharlal Nehru University ( JNU) in New Delhi, India.

    19th August 2018 - awarded a scholarship by the Goethe Institute Colombo, (German Cultural Institute) for a teacher training course at the Goethe Institute Munich, Germany.

    7th August 2013 - awarded the DAAD German summer course scholarship by the German Academic Exchange Service for a one month language course in Trier University, Germany as an undergraduate at the University of Kelaniya.
