The Department of Western Classical Culture and Christian Culture at the University of Kelaniya, in collaboration with the Ceylon Bible Society, organized a special program on October 10th, 2024. The event took place in the K14 Auditorium from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm and featured a distinguished panel of guests, including Rev. Priyantha Wijegoonawardena, General Secretary of the Ceylon Bible Society, along with Mr. Wilakshitha Mendis, Mr. Ishara Gunasekara, Mrs. Samudrika Lihiniyakumara, and Rev. Dr. Roshan Fernando, Head of the Department of Western Classical Culture and Christian Culture.During the event, the Ceylon Bible Society graciously donated Bibles to all participating students. The speakers delivered insightful presentations on the origins of Bible Societies and the history.
