Contribution to Curricular and Teaching Development - 

• 2015 - Held responsibilities in revising the existing B. A. (Honours) in Christian Culture syllabus with the introduction of 18 credits in Information Technology offered by the newly established Faculty of Computing and Technology. 

• 2016 - Held responsibilities in compiling a new degree programme titled B. A. (Honours) in Christian Studies with Information Technology for direct intake of students from 2018. 

• 2015 - 2016 - Introduced the Computer Assisted Learning system to the students of the department by providing facilities. 

• 2016 - Organized a programme under the newly introduced Visiting Senior Fellowship project of the university by inviting Dr Alan Race, an International Specialist in Religious Pluralism and Dialogue, for further curricular development and teaching.

Contribution to Infrastructure Development - 

• 2014 - Instrumental in establishing a mini-computer room with six computers and internet facilities for the students. 

• 2015 - Instrumental in renovating the Christian Culture building from the departmental development fund of the MA programme in Christian Studies.

Actively represented two policy committees (National Unity – Religious Reconcilitation and The Persons with Disabilities). 

• 2024 - Scriptwriter and the producer of the stage drama on The Son of Man-Marcan Jesus Passion Play directed by Priyankara Rathnayaka attached to the Department of Drama, Cinema and Television of the University of Kelaniya. 

• 2024 – Delivered the convocation speech at Theological College of Lanka on 'The Relevance of Political Theology and the Teaching of the World Council of Churches (WCC) to Resolve the Present Economic Crisis in Sri Lanka.’ 

Contribution to University Service through Awards 

• 2003 - Received an award of certificate for Film Script Writing from The Asian Cinema Centre. 

• 2010 - Received the State Literary Award certificate for the nomination of the book History, Forms and Usage of Passion Plays in Sri Lanka. 

• 2016 - Awarded Senate Honours for Research for conducting high-quality research and publishing in an internationally indexed journal.
