• 2002 - Scripted a documentary film produced by National Rupavahini Cooperation on the relation between traditional passion songs written by Fr. Jacome Gonsalves in comparison to the traditional folk songs in Sri Lanka.
• 2004 - Pioneered in establishing a Community Library for the child victims of Tsunami in Katukurunda, Kalutara (My home town).
• 2007 - Scripted and directed a documentary film titled Ear in Moonbeams for the Centre for Education of Hearing Impaired Children in Kelaniya.
• 2008 - Scripted and directed a documentary film on the Contribution of Christianity to Drama, Literature, Art, Music & Cinema in Sri Lanka.
• 2008 to 2009 - Talks delivered on Media Ethics and Children, Religious Values and other current topics over Sri Lanka Broadcasting Cooperation (SLBC) as a resource person of the National Christian Council. 
• 2009 - Participated as a resource person on Christian Liturgical Drama in Television Media.
• 2009 - Delivered a talk on “The Missionary Principals of Fr. Joseph Vaz” at a seminar held in National Seminary, Ampitiya, Kandy. 
• 2011 - Delivered a talk on “An Analysis on Christian Social Movement in Sri-Lanka” at the 5^th anniversary of Sadaranay magazine held in Centre for Religion & Society, Colombo.
• 2011 - Actively participated in one day workshop on “How to Establish a Democratic Political Culture in Sri Lanka” conducted by the Council of Social Democrats.
• 2013 - Scripted Tharakayano, world’s first Passion Play in ballet style. Tharakayano was staged twice in Negombo and once in Nelum Pokuna, Colombo.
• 2013 - Delivered a talk on “Church History” at a seminar held for grass-roots level Christian activists in Sri-Lanka, Negombo.
• 2013 - Delivered a talk on “The Church and the Lay Movement” for the laity and the priests of the diocese of Anuradhapura.
• 2014 - Actively participated as a representative of the Kelaniya University Teachers’ Association at one day workshop on “Citizens’ Activation for Changing Political Culture of Sri Lanka -  Dialogue with the Academics” conducted by Peoples’ Action for Free and Fair Election (PAFFREL). 
• 2014 to 2015 - Held a two day seminar for the catechists of Polonnaruwa, Higurakgoda, Palugasdamana and Minneriya in the diocese of Anuradhapura. Conducted six seminars for two consecutive years.
• 2014 - Delivered a talk on “The Present Challenges of the Catholic Church” at the invitation of Christian Workers Movement of the archdiocese of Colombo.
• 2014 - Held responsibilities as the coordinator of the survey on The Religious Tension in Sri Lanka: A Study of Interreligious Harmony, conducted by Caritas Sri Lanka, Social and Economic Development Centre, Colombo.
• 2015 - Delivered a talk on “The Comparison of the Missionary Principles of the Portuguese and the Missionary Methods of Fr. Joseph Vaz” at the Caritas movement.
• 2015 - Delivered a talk on “The Biblical Aspects of the Passion of Christ” to the members of the Marist Lay Members, Negombo.
• 2015 - Conducted a three day seminar for the university students on “The Biblical Education” organized by the Chaplain of the Rajarata University Student Circle.
• 2015 - Delivered a talk on “25 Years of Sadaranaya magazine” at the invitation of the Director of Centre for Society and Religion.
• 2015 - Delivered a talk on “The Relevance of Cardinal Cardijn’s Methods for Christian Workers” at the invitation of Christian Workers Movement of the archdiocese of Colombo.
• 2015 - Scripted and produced a Christmas drama on the Invitation of the Department of Christian Religious Affairs for the State Christmas Festival in Jaffna. This Christmas drama was staged in Jaffna in collaboration with Bolawaththa Passion Play Group.
• 2015 - Participated as committee member of educational reforms representing the Faculty of Humanities at the Presidential Secretariat.
• 20016 - Organized a seminar on “The Theological Thought of Environment in Relation to the Port City Project in Sri Lanka” in collaboration with the MA Student Circle in Christian Studies. (Also initiated in establishing MA Student Circle of Christian Studies).
• 2016 - Delivered a talk on “The Biblical Meaning of the Sacrament of Confirmation” to the students of Dehiyagatha parish. 
• 2016 - Participated as a resource person on Good Friday television programme at the National Rupavahini Cooperation.
• 2016 - Delivered a talk on “The Religious Education and Ethics” to the parents of the students of Holy Cross College, Kalutara.
• 2016 - Delivered a talk on "The Christian Liturgical Dramas and their Influence on the Passion Plays of Sri Lanka" to the students of Ave Maria convent in Negombo. 
• 2016 - Delivered a talk on “The Ecumenical Value of the Christian Churches in Sri Lankan Context” at the Baptist Church in Kadawatha.
• 2016 - Delivered a talk on “The Biblical Meaning of Peace and Reconciliation in Post War Sri Lanka” at the Children’s Rally held in the diocese of Anuradhapura.
• 2018 - to date – Executive member of National Intellectual Organization. Member of the committee on National Reconciliation and actively contributed in drafting the manifesto of National Intellectual Organization in 2019.
• 2019 - Delivered a talk on “The Quality of the Church: Envisioning a Ministry of Hospitality and Healing in a Wounded Body of Christ” at Anglican priestly synod, Colombo.
• 2019 - Delivered a talk on “Response of the Church to the Current Situation of Sri Lanka after Easter Carnage” at Theological College of Lanka, Pilamatalawa.

Contribution to University Service through Awards

• 2003 - Received an award of certificate for Film Script Writing from The Asian Cinema Centre. 

• 2010 - Received the State Literary Award certificate for the nomination of the book History, Forms and Usage of Passion Plays in Sri Lanka. 

• 2016 - Received the award for Senate Honours for Research for conducting high quality research and publishing in international indexed journal.
