The Russian House in Colombo donated 550 Russian language teaching materials to the Russian Language unit, Department of Modern Languages of the University of Kelaniya. The ceremony took place on 9th November 2022 at the University of Kelaniya with the participation of the First Secretary of the Russian Embassy and Head of the Russian House in Colombo Madam Maria L. Popova, Head of the Department of Modern Languages, University of Kelaniya Prof. Dilrukshi Ratnayake, Senior Lecturer Ven. Dr. Meemure Gunanda Thero, Prof. Emeritus Hemantha Sirisena, as well as other Russian Language lecturers and senior officials of the Russian House in Colombo. The event was warmly welcomed by the brightest students at the University of Kelaniya as further cooperation between the parties was discussed.
