The English Students’ Association The English Students’ Association is established to create a space for the students of the Department of English to sharpen their organizational skills and to engage in extra-curricular activities. It is also the place that links students from all four years and unites them as one family. English students Association has been a thriving guild that inherits a history of more than 60 years, similar to the Department of English that was founded in 1959 as a part of the Vidyalankara Pirivena and its transition to the University of Kelaniya in 1978. 

The ESA Committee is annually elected from among the students, and they officially take up duties at the annual AGM. The ESA organizes various activities such as the annual trip, cinelogues, the Blink magazine launch and the ESA going down bash. They also design the annual club T-shirt which is greatly popular among the students.
