Master of Arts in Buddhist Studies, Department of Pali and Buddhist Studies, University of Kelaniya for the year 2024 started on 20th of January in 2024. The inaugural session was held at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Social Sciences. The Keynote speech was delivered by Prof. Praneeth Abeysundara, Department of Anthropology, University of Sri Jayawardenepura. Senior Prof. Ven. Makuruppe Dhammananda Thera (Head of the Department), the academic staff including Chair Prof Ven. Nabirittankadawara Gnanarathana Thera, both local and foreign students joined that ceremony.
