තායිලන්තයේ Dhammachai Educational Institute සහ කැලණිය විශ්වවිද්‍යාලය සමග අවබෝධතා ගිවිසුමකට එළඹීමේ මූලික එකගතාවකට අත්සන් කිරීම පසුගිය 205.03.24 දින තායිලන්තයේ දී Dr. Ven. Pongsak Thaniyo සහ ජ්‍යෙෂ්ඨ මහාචාර්ය පූජ්‍ය මකුරුප්පේ ධම්මානන්ද ස්වාමීන්වහන්සේගේ ප්‍රධානත්වයෙන් සිදුවිය.
මෙය Dr. Ven. Werotkitthipalo ස්වාමීන්වහන්සේගේ සහ හෙරලියාවල රතනතිස්ස ස්වාමීන්වහන්සේගේ මෙහෙයවීමෙන් සිදු වූ අතර ජ්‍යෙෂ්ඨ මහාචාර්ය උදිත ගරුසිංහ සහ ජ්‍යෙෂ්ඨ කථිකාචාර්ය අමිල කළුආරච්චි ඇතුළු Dhammachai Educational Instituteහි විද්වතුන් රැසක් මෙම අවස්ථාවට සහභාගී වූහ.
පාලි අත් පිටපත් සංරක්ෂණය, ශිෂ්‍ය හා ආචාර්යවරුන් හුවමාරුව සහ බෞද්ධ අධ්‍යයනය ප්‍රවර්ධනය කිරීම මෙහි අරමුණ විය.
A preliminary agreement to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding between the Dhammachai Educational Institute in Thailand and the University of Kelaniya was signed on 2025.03.24 in Thailand under the leadership of Dr. Ven. Pongsak Thaniyo and Senior Professor Ven. Makuruppe Dhammananda Thero.
This initiative was carried out under the guidance of Dr. Ven. Werotkitthipalo Thero and Heraliyawala Rathanatissa Thero, with the participation of Senior Professor Uditha Garusinghe, Senior Lecturer Dr. Amila Kaluarachchi and a number of scholars from the Dhammachai Educational Institute.
The objectives of this initiative were the preservation of Pali manuscripts, the exchange of students and academic staff, and the promotion of Buddhist studies.
