The Teaching English as a Second Language Students’ Association (TESLSA) continued its ongoing support for disaster-affected communities through Phase 2 of its Flood Relief Project, held on 25th December 2025 at Sri Bodhi Rukharama Temple, Kolmbissa, Hanguranketha. The initiative focused on assisting children whose education had been disrupted by recent floods and landslides.

During the program, 64 students were provided with essential school materials, including school bags, books, pencil cases, writing instruments, and water bottles. These contributions were intended to facilitate a smooth return to learning and mitigate the educational setbacks caused by the natural disaster.

The distribution was coordinated on-site by Ms. Nipuni Hakadewaththe, Senior Treasurer of TESLSA, who ensured that the process was conducted efficiently and that each student received the necessary support. Phase 2 follows the earlier success of TESLSA’s flood relief initiatives and underscores the association’s sustained dedication to community welfare.
