A group of special delegates from the “People's Friendship University of Russia” held a preliminary discussion on 26th September 2022 with the Department of Pali and Buddhist Studies, the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Kelaniya, regarding the exchange of knowledge about Buddhist studies and involvement of young Buddhist scholars with that university for the studies of that university.
Dr. Sudath Senarath, Dean of Humanities, Senior Professor Venerable Makuruppe Dhammananda Thero, Head of the Department, Chair Professor Venerable Nabirittankadawara Gnanarathana Thero, Senior Professor Uditagarusingha and other staff members of the department.
