The inauguration of the Master's degree course conducted by the Department of Pali and Buddhist Studies of the University of Kelaniya was held on 14 January 2023 in the Department of Studies. For this occasion, Senior Professor Kapila Seneviratne, Dean of the Faculty of Postgraduate Studies of the University of Kelaniya, Senior Lecturer, Dr. Sudath Senarath, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Senior Professor Makuruppe Dhammananda Thera, Head of the Department of Pali and Buddhist Studies, Chair Professor Nabirittankadawara Gnanarathana Thero, Senior Professor Uditha Garusingha, etc. It was held in a grand manner. The keynote address was delivered by Mr. Don de Silva. The course coordinators are lecturer Rev. Valasmulle Bhaddia Thero and Lecturer Sriani Hemalatha delivered the welcome and thanksgiving speeches.
