An academic response to Professor Raj Somadewa's unfounded views on the history of Mahavihara was held at Kelaniya University on 22 nd September 2020.

In this 3 hour event, Dr. Aruna Keerthi Gamage, by illustrating a wealth of substantial evidence from commentarial sources, refuted all the erroneous views of Prof. Somadewa, and insisted on the authenticity of Pali sources in studying History on Archelogy.
