Junior Academic Research Symposium 2023/24
A year of dedicated workshops and informative sessions, organized as part of the Staff Development Programme, has culminated in this collection of abstracts produced by the Junior Academic Staff of the Faculty of Humanities, University of Kelaniya. This volume represents diverse fields of study, reflecting the wide-ranging interests of the researchers. As editors, we were heartened by the enthusiasm and commitment of our colleagues who submitted their research to this collection.
The Junior Academic Research Symposium 2023/24: JARS offers a unique and invaluable opportunity for junior scholars of the faculty. It serves as a platform that both facilitates and encourages innovative research. This year, under the theme of "Diversity and Inclusion," we aimed to compile a volume that embraces diverse perspectives of research while ensuring inclusivity within the academic community. We hope that the research presented here will continue to foster a multidisciplinary approach to humanities research and inspire junior scholars to remain curious and push the boundaries of knowledge.
